BODY is the sound of Occur in gestation, recording music in a raw and improvisational way before any names or concepts could yet be applied to what the artists were doing. It was originally issued as a live remix album for the Coppice Halifax track "Okazi", the Esperanto word for "occur", to be included in Coppice Halifax's long running and experimental Deep Earth catalogue of works. As such, this album is very much where the band conceived its name, with the album's title being taken from the subtitle of the live remix: Enkorpigita / Embodied. It feels appropriate that the formal christening of this collaborative vessel was drafted in darkness, using electricity itself as a compositional element to forge new shapes and paths in. Willed into existence like a flash of white light, given form by warm machines and deliberate hands.
BODY also includes a bonus sixth track, also a live remix for Deep Earth's remix release Alkemiisto II, which was recorded not long after the first session, using similar equipment in the same space.
